I contacted Mick to enquire about having new brakes and discs on my Hyundai, his wife was really helpful taking all the details and Mike very quickly got back to me with the quote and went through all the details. I was sure the problem with my Triumph Stag was serious but I wasn't prepared for the patience and care that I received when I approached Mick and Sarah. Not only was Mick able to reassure me that the damaged holes in my cylinder head were repairable but that he could do it with no problems. 1 All work carried out must be paid for in full prior to the vehicle/machinery leaving Mick Johns Garage Services premises unless by prior arrangement with Mick Johns. All goods remain the property of Mick Johns Garage Services until paid for in full.
If you, the customer refuse to pay the amount due, the vehicle/machinery will be held until payment in full is received. A storage charge of £10/week will be added.
2 A contract will be binding between Mick Johns Garage Services and the customer upon the booking of a vehicle or machinery for service, repairs or MoT.
3 Mick Johns Garage Services will provide details of the cost of each car service and the work required before the work is carried out. All work and costs, including additional work must be approved by the customer before any work is carried out.
4 Mick Johns Garage Services cannot be held liable for undisclosed faults that are discovered at time of repair/servicing.
5 If the work cannot be completed by the agreed time due to circumstances beyond Mick Johns Garage Services control, we will contact the customer and inform them accordingly – this may sometimes be due to parts not being delivered or the work required may take longer to complete.
6 Special oils or spark plugs may be required for your vehicle service. These will carry an additional charge and we will inform you of the costs prior to the service being carried out.
7 All parts used will adhere to the manufacturer's service schedule and warranty and will be genuine, of “original equipment” (OE) standard, or 'after-market' as recommended by manufacturer– ensuring all warranties are validated. Reconditioned/second-hand parts can be made available and fitted at the customer's request.
8 In addition to your Statutory Rights, Mick Johns Garage Services provides a Parts & Labour Warranty covering replacement of defective parts or related workmanship for a period of 12 months if OE quality or genuine parts have been fitted (or within 12,000 miles - whichever comes first). Reconditioned/second-hand parts carry a warranty of 60 days. The Warranty is dependent upon:
(a) Mick Johns Garage Services being given an opportunity to investigate the vehicle in the workshop and/or rectify any faults within a reasonable timeframe.
(b) The manufacturer’s vehicle operating instructions being followed.
(c) The vehicle being serviced according to the manufacturer’s recommended schedule (at the time or distance specified) and as advised by Mick Johns.
(d) Full compliance with Mick Johns Garage Services recommendations regarding advised work, warnings and information or any instructions provided by Mick Johns Garage Services.
(e) The parts or workmanship carried out not being subjected to abnormal conditions or unreasonable wear and tear.
(f) Mick Johns Garage Services will not be held liable for any repair work covered by our warranty carried out on the vehicle by a 3rd party without written prior consent and authorisation by Mick Johns.
9 If an estimate only is given this may not necessarily constitute the full cost of the service/repair. The full cost of service/repair will however be agreed with the customer prior to the work being carried out.
10 Mick Johns Garage Services does not accept any liability for any damage or losses suffered by the customer from the storage of their vehicle/machinery including contents/personal possessions at our premises Unit 10, High Farm, Dallinghoo.
11 The customer has the right to cancel their vehicle or machinery service/repairs/MoT at any time, as long as any of the agreed work to date has been paid for up to the point of cancellation.
12 Re. Free vehicle collection & delivery; Any known faults must be reported prior to collection of vehicle. If an undisclosed fault is discovered on collection or driving away from your home or workplace your vehicle will be returned to you immediately.
13 Mick Johns Garage Services will not be held responsible or liable for any unforeseeable losses; losses that were not caused by Mick Johns Garage Services, agents or representatives' negligence or for any business losses. This does not affect any claim that the customer may have for death or personal injury. Nothing in this condition will affect the customer’s statutory rights that the works are performed with due skill and care, that the goods supplied are of satisfactory quality and are fit for their purpose and that the products and services correspond with their description.
14 Mick Johns Garage Services will not be liable for any damage or delay in the services provided if the reasons are down to “an act of God”, “industrial action such as strikes”, “government disputes” or factors to be deemed out of control of Mick Johns Garage Services.
15 Health & Safety laws will apply where applicable when customer’s vehicle/machinery is serviced/repaired.
16 By agreeing to these terms and conditions you are aware of what the service you are purchasing includes. Mick Johns Garage Services will follow your manufacturer’s service schedule, and any additional items not included in our full / interim service may be charged at an extra cost, but will not be completed without prior authorisation.
17 Mick Johns Garage Services will endeavour to resolve all disputes amicably and professionally normally within 28 days following a complaint in writing outlining in detail the nature of the complaint by letter or email. Messages via text or social media are not an accepted form of correspondence. If you the customer is still not satisfied with the outcome of our resolution please contact The Motor Omsbusdman regarding Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Any complaint with respect to any work carried out or parts fitted by Mick Johns Garage Services must be restricted to communications with Mick Johns Garage Services and Motorcodes. Mick Johns Garage Services will not be liable for resolving any mistakes, issues or problems unless all correspondence remains with Mick Johns Garage Services and Motorcodes.
18 Where the transaction value is over £500 or a fraud alert is raised, Mick Johns Garage Services reserve the right to ask for the payment to be made prior to the work being carried out.
19 Mick Johns Garage Services reserves the right to refuse custom to individuals demonstrating a lack of courtesy and fairness to Mick Johns.
THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND THE GUARANTEE TERMS CONTAINED IN THEM DO NOT AFFECT THE STATUTORY RIGHTS OF A CONSUMER REGARDING FAULTY OR MISDESCRIBED PRODUCTS OR SERVICES OR ANY FAILURE BY MICK JOHNS GARAGE SERVICES IN THE SUPPLY OF GOODS OR THE UNDERTAKING OF WORK.
